BIA end of term exhibition is always interesting. I always come away from an exhibition like this thinking that my weakness is etching… I love etching. I think it’s the fact that it is so detached from the initial observation that I like

PLAYTIME
Sometimes you have an idea in your head you just have to get out. Case in point. I love the geometry of a dome and how it can be constructed. The Fortuny lamp would be testament to this.(The last image)Today we had a little play.

Kingaroy at night.
The structures were designed to showcase the artwork which spans the five structures. The edge lighting to the sandblasted panels picks up the artwork beautifully and makes it sparkle. The Corten to the rear of the structures has B
Kingaroy.
Installed over a year ago in Kingaroy a day before the project was due to be completed I have never seen the structures as they were supposed to appear… with the Corten rusty as!
I also never got to see the structures illuminated.

Maybe one or two of those jobs are for graphic design! A good initiative non the less.
